Covid Information

Dear Parents,

As you can imagine, Covid-19 adds challenges to our basketball season  The MetroWest League has put together a guideline on Covid-19 and a checklist for everyone to follow they are attached and will be posted on the website.  Please read and familiarize yourself with the information.

Additionally, we have some internal guidelines put in place to ensure the safety of our community.

Out of State Travel

If you have travelled out of state over the holidays, players are required to take a PCR Covid-19 test after return and receive a negative result as directed by the RI Department of Health.  The result must be shared with the director before the return to practice. Absent a test, it is expected all members of the BYBA community (players, coaches, volunteers) will adhere to the RI protocols of quarantine for 14 days upon return.  Please remember if you were travelling in a place like an airport/train station/bus terminal, it can be several days before Covid-19 is detectable, so wait until day 4-5 after a return before you get a test.  A close contact on the team or a positive contact trace can shut the team down for around 1/4 of the season.

Reporting cases/close contacts

If your player tests positive or is a close contact, please contact me immediately for contact tracing purposes.
